detailed 4-day program The previous day Appointment at 6.30 pm at the guides' office. Day 1 Discovery of alpine hiking – ridge crossing Departure from the village of Praz de Chamonix to take the Flégère cable car. From the upper station of the Index chairlift (2396m) you will take a marked path to the foot of Aiguilles Crochues (about 40 minutes’walk), you will go up a corridor until it becomes narrow and climb up the ridge by a gap in III. Then the path goes further on a very aesthetic ridge, consisting of dihedrons, slabs and steps (III / IV). From the top, the view is very stunning on the la verte massif, the Aiguilels of Chamonix and the Mont Blanc. The return, on the east slope, is by a system of terraces. From there, you will easily descend to the Flégère cable car via Lac Blanc. Day 2 Learning to walk on ice Departure early in the morning from St-Gervais to reach the village of Argentière above Chamonix (about 40 minutes by car). From there, you will take the Grands Montets ski lift (3295 m). From the top of the Grands Montets you will descend towards the Argentière refuge, this course consists only of descent ... You will enjoy the view of the Aiguilles mythical names, Les Courtes, Les Droites, La Verte ... arrival in Lognan to return by gondola to Argentière. Day 3 Ascent of Aiguille du Tour – night in the hut Departure in the morning to the Tour village, climb to the Albert 1er refuge (2702m) for the meal facing the Aiguilles Rouges and the Aiguille du Chardonnet. In the afternoon, several easy routes in rock or snow are possible. Night at the Albert 1er refuge. Day 4 Climb the top of the Aiguille du Tour. Evolution in snow on the glacier and on the rocky summit. We discover the magnificent panorama on the slope of Trient and Saleinaz. Meal at the hut and back down to the valley in the middle of the afternoon. The guides could be led to change the programme depending on the weather conditions, the mountains and the level of the participants. Reservations starting early november Register by filling the registration form dated and signed and with the 30% deposit, plus the optional insurance coverage amounts. Mountaineering discovery course This mountaineering discovery course is ideal for a first experience in mountaineering and will allow you to discover this wild and beautiful environment. In 4 days you will have the opportunity to learn the technical basics for progress on rock and ice with a mixed summit for reward. This course is a first step to many other alpine adventures! 2020 Dates Group course : every Friday from mid-June to mid-September, depending on the conditions. Private sessions : every day from mid-June to mid-September, depending on the conditions. 2020 Rates If you are alone or a small group and you'd like to benefit the lowest rate, you can opt for a group session. If you prefer to stay in your private group you can choose the private formula.

Technical and physical level This course is perfect for beginners, it does not require a particular technical level. The climb is addressed to sports people. You’ll be walking up to 6 hours on the fourth day, so you’ll have to prepare and practice cardio during your endurance trainings. (biking, running, …) Don’t forget that you’ll be walking with a 8 kilograms backpack, this increases the amount of effort needed to walk, be sure to be training with this extra weight.
