The Chamonix Zermatt trek is a key climb! 7 days through the most beautiful mountains of the Alps to connect the two most prestigious capitals of mountaineering. The glacial raid Chamonix Zermatt is one of the great classics.
Every Sunday from June 14to early September (other departures possible for private groups).
If you are alone or less then four and you wish to benefit a smaller price, you can participate in a group session.

It’s recommended you already have some mountaineering experience (walking with crampons, roping up). The climb requires a good training and is addressed to sports people. You’ll be walking for between 6 and 9 hours per day, so you’ll have to prepare and practice cardio during your endurance trainings. (biking, running, hiking in the mountains …)
Don’t forget that you’ll be walking with a 8 kilograms backpack, this increases the amount of effort needed to walk, be sure to be training with this extra weight.

The day before:
Appointment at 6.30 pm at the guides’ office.
Day 1 D+ 602m
Crossing of Tour upper pass (3,281 m) and Trient plateau, and descent of Orny glacier to get to La Breya chairlift (2,401 m) in order to go down to Champex – Night spent at Club Alpin Suisse hotel by a lake.
Day 2 D+ 579m/D- 880m
Traversée du col supérieur du Tour (3281 m), puis du plateau de Trient et descente du Glacier d’Orny pour rejoindre le télésiège de la Breya (2401m) pour descendre sur Champex – Nuitée à l’Hôtel du Club Alpin Suisse au bord d’un lac.
Day 3 D+ 780m/ D- 315m
Early in the morning a cab will drive you to Chanrion (2,462 m) – Ascent to Col de la Tsofeiret (2,630 m), Col de la Lire rose (3,115 m) and Col de Cheilon (3,243 m) via a beautiful path. Then descent via Gietroz and Cheilon glaciers to spend the night at Dix hut (2,928 m).
Day 4 D+ 950m / D- 636m
Ascent of Pigne d’Arolla (3,796 m) via Tsena Riefen glacier, then Mur de la Serpentine and Col du Brenay. Nice descent to Vignettes hut (3,158 m).
Day 5 D+ 833m / D- 986m
Departure from the hut to go down to Col de Chermotane (3,053 m), to climb to Col de l’Evêque (3,392 m) and go down Arolla high glacier. You will climb to Plan Bertol (2,664 m) and to Bertol hut (3,311 m) via some steep snow slopes.
Day 6 D+564m/D- 1100m
From the hut you will go down to Col Bertol to climb the top of Mont Miné glacier. You will climb Tête Blanche (3,724 m) which offers a splendid view on Cervin. Then you will begin going down to Zermatt via Col de Valpelline (3,568 m), Stockji glacier and rocks, Zmutt glacier and its moraine, and night spent at Schonbiel hut (2,694 m).
Day 7 D+ 1070m
From Schonbiel hut a nice and pleasant path leads to Zermatt (1,618 m) via Zmutt by crossing nice hamlets. You will come back to Tasch by train.
The elevation differences are approximate and may vary.
The guides could be led to change the program depending on the weather conditions, the mountains and the level of the participants.
Reservations starting early november
Register by filling the registration form dated and signed and with the 30% deposit, plus the optional insurance coverage amounts. Having a repatriation help service coverage is compulsory to attend our trips. If you do not have one, we can offer you one.
