Since 1864 the guides from Compagnie des Guides de Saint-Gervais have been leading their “travellers”, customers or friends to the summit of that magical mountain which must not be underestimated and which must be come up with all humility. We do not lead to the summit any people without experience.
You will be following the “royal trail” Mont-Blanc in 3 days from Saint-Gervais and you will sleep in Tête Rousse and Goûter.
We can’t take anyone up to Mont-Blanc without a preparation course. For those who have no experience, a first approach to mountaineering can be the mountaineering discovery course or a 2-day initiation to discover the high mountains, with this first experience you can either try the Mont Blanc in 2 days or do the Mont Blanc course in 6 days to beat the odds.
Every day from June to September depending on the beds available and the conditions.
2 people per guide maximum. We don’t sell group courses for the Mont-Blanc, you have to either come alone or with a friend or family member. You will be supervised by a mountain guide..
The Mont-Blanc experience with the guides of the Compagnie de Saint-Gervais allows us to go against the idea often spread: the Mont Blanc is easy. We can’t take anyone up to Mont-Blanc without a preparation course. For those who have no experience, a first approach to mountaineering can be the mountaineering discovery course or a 2-day initiation to discover the high mountains (Mountaineering discovery course) or a 2-day course (Aiguille du Tour, Trois cols, Aiguille de la Bérangère, Mont-Tondu…).
A very good preparation is necessary for the ascent of Mont Blanc.
This climb is aimed at sports people and already having a successful alpinism experience. Knowing how to walk with crampons and using the ice ax is essential. Acclimatization is also essential.
We advise you to intensify your sports sessions six months before. You will have to walk between 6 and 12 hours a day, so you must be prepared by practicing cardio sports during long sessions. Endurance sports: bike sessions, running, hiking on varied terrain.
