Monte Rosa has always been known and appreciated for its vast glaciers and high peaks. It is the largest massif in the Alps and the highest peak in Switzerland. At the heart of the massif, The Castor traverse on the snowy ridge in between Pollux and Lyskam is one of the most beautiful of the Alps!
Every day from mid-June to mid-September depending on the conditions.
If you are alone or a small group and you’d like to benefit the lowest rate, you can opt for a group session. If you prefer to stay in your private group you can choose the private formula.

2 people maximum per guide. Departure guaranteed from 2 subscriptions for the group session. You will be supervised by a mountain guide.
Some mountaineering experience is compulsory. The climb requires a good training and is addressed to sports people. You’ll be walking for approx. 10 hours a day, so you’ll have to prepare and practice cardio during your endurance trainings. (biking, running, …) Don’t forget that you’ll be walking with a 8 kilograms backpack, this increases the amount of effort needed to walk, be sure to be training with this extra weight.

Departure from the village of Saint-Gervais in the morning to go to the village of Saint Jacques, 4 x 4 taxi for Pian Di Vera, lunch at the refuge Mezzalama, night at Lambronecca refuge 3425m
From the refuge, uphill on the snow slopes to the summit ridge of the Castor 4228m, meal at the Sella refuge, return by 4×4 to the village of Saint-Jacques. Between 8h and 10h walk.

Register by filling the registration form dated and signed and with the 30% deposit, plus the optional insurance coverage amounts. Having a repatriation help service coverage is compulsory to attend our trips. If you do not have one, we can offer you one.
