The previous day
Appointment at 6.30 pm at the guides' office.
Day 1
Departure from La Monta hamlet (1,700 m) where you will climb Guil valley until Viso scenic point and then until Viso refuge (2,460 m). Lunch at the refuge. You will spend the afternoon revising the use of the relief equipment in case of avalanche (DVA Avalanche Victim Detector, shovel, probe). Difference in height of + 760 m
Day 2
Departure from Viso refuge to go to Col de la Traversette (2,947 m). You will cross the border of Italy. A splendid descent until Pian del Ré (2,020 m). After a snack break next to Pô sources you will climb to Colle del Viso (2,700 m). A magnificent view on Viso impressive north-western face. You will walk by Quintino Sella refuge before going down to Alpetto refuge (2,268 m). Difference in height of + 500 m, Difference in height of – 920 m, Difference in height of + 680 m Difference in height of – 430 m
Day 3
Departure from Alpetto refuge to cross Gallarino and Santa Chiaffredo passes (2,764 m), then descent to the magnificent small valley to get to Vallante small valley. You will reach Ponte Chianale. Link to Chianale (1,850 m) by car, a Piedmontese small mountain village where you will spend the night at Laghi Blu lodge.
Day 4
Departure from Chianale to climb to Col de St Véran (2,844 m) then to Pic de Caramantran (3,025 m). An exceptional panorama on the summits of Queyras. Descent to Agnel refuge (2,580 m). Difference in height of + 1,175 m Difference in height of – 450 m
Day 5
Departure from Agnel refuge to go to Col Vieux (2,806 m) and to the summit of Rocca Rossa (3,150 m) before going down the huge valley of Foréant and Egorgéous lakes. You will then reach La Monta via a beautiful larch forest. Difference in height of + 580 m Difference in height of -1,450 m
The guides could be led to change the programme depending on the weather conditions, the mountains and the level of the participants.

Technical and physical level
For good skiers in good physical shape. Passes and summits with technical difficulties. You need to have some experience in skitouring. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the required level.
