The Ski touring trek Haute-route du Grand Paradis is a very beautiful trek in Italy at the heart of Grand Paradis national park. That trek will enable to walk around and climb the peak of the massif. You will enjoy many exceptional panoramas and the warm welcome of the people of Vallée d’Aoste.
From mid-March to May depending on the snow conditions.
If you are alone or a smaal group and you wish to benefit a smaller price, you can participate in a group session.

For good skiers in good physical shape. Passes and summits with technical difficulties. You need to have some experience in skitouring. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions about the required level.
- We take the bare minimum of picknicks in the backpacks, we order them in the huts.
- We prefer small groups.
The day before:
Appointment at 6.30 pm at the guides’ office.
Day 1 D+ 700m/D- 0m
Departure from Saint Gervais to go to Pont small village in Italy (1,960 m) at the heart of Grand Paradis national park. You will climb to Vittorio Emmanuel II refuge (2,732 m) between larches and high mountain pastures. You may meet ibexes.
Day 2 D+ 613m/D- 575m D+ 220m/D- 790m
From the refuge you will climb to Col du Grand Paradis (3,345 m) via Moncorve glacier. You will then go down to Ivrea bivouac (2,770 m) by walking under Moncorve very beautiful rock faces. From there you will climb to Col du Becchi (2,990 m) and go down towards Teleccio lake to stop at Pontese refuge (2,200 m).
Day 3 D+ 1104m/D- 1770m
You will climb to Col Teleccio (3,304 m) via the glacier of the same name. You will go down Valeille glacier and get to the depths of Valeille big valley until Cogne village (1,534 m) where you will see a vast number of ice waterfalls. That area is well renowned for its waterfalls. You will stop at a lovely small hotel in Gimillian, a village of Cogne (transport by bus).
Day 4 D+ 1050m
You will go into Valnontey from Cogne to get to Vittorio Sella refuge (2,584m). That south-facing ascent will need you to leave early in the morning. A beautiful view on Valnontey cirque.
Day 5 D+ 786m ou 968m/D- 370m ou 552m D+ 400m/D- 650m
You will climb to Col du Grand Serra (3,370 m) and you will be able to climb Grand Serra (3,552 m) if the conditions enable you to do so. You will then go down into Valsavarenche via Timorion glacier (3,000 m) and climb to Sebastiano Renzo Sberna bivouac (3,400 m) via Gran Neyron glacier. A beautiful descent on the northern slope until Chabod refuge (2,750 m).
Day 6 D+ 1311m/D- 2601m
You will leave Chabod refuge to climb Grand Paradis (4,061 m) via Lavaciau and Becca di Moncorve glacier (3,875 m). A beautiful glacier which will lead you to the feet of the terminal ridge. You will leave your skis to put on your crampons and climb that ridge which leads to the summit. An exceptional view before going down via Grand Paradis glacier. A small stop at Vittorio Emanuele refuge before putting on your skins to get to Ciarforon base (2,900 m) and then a beautiful descent to Pont (1,960 m), where you will savour “Pont’s pasta»!

The guides could be led to change the program depending on the weather conditions, the mountains and the level of the participants.
