Cosmiques ridge in winter

From Aiguille du Midi (3,842 m) in Chamonix. A nice exposed climb at high altitude where you will progress at the heart of Mont-Blanc massif.

Following the rockfall in the summer of 2018, this climb is currently replaced by the crossing of the Aiguile d’entrèves or Aiguilles marbrées.

At the start of Aiguille du Midi (3842 m) in Chamonix, the Cosmiques ridge in winter in the heart of the massif is one of the most playful and aesthetic edge climbs of the area. In winter this ridge is less frequented, wilder and more beautiful!

Technical and physical requirements

A good preparation is necessary, this climb is meant for sportive people. Prepare yourself practicing “cardio” endurance sports like biking, hiking and running.  Don’t forget that you’ll be walking with a 8kg backpack at high altitude, which is more physical than without, so don’t forget to train with the extra weight.
