The evening before
Meet with your guide and the other participants at the Bureau des Guides des Contamines at 6:30 p.m., for a preparatory meeting around a drink. This meeting with your guide will be an opportunity to ask your last questions about the trip.
Day 1
Contamines – Col and Savoie valley
From the summit of Contamines Montjoie cable-cars (Le Signal 1,875 m) you will go towards the Roselette ridges (2110m), from where the view is remarkable over the Mont Blanc and Beaufortain massifs, we will begin our 7-day Tour du Mont Blanc itinerant hike quietly and serenely. It is likely that you will encounter more marmots than hikers during the first two days of the journey, it is also our way of sharing our corners, our knowledge of the mountain, a true haven of peace.
Elevation: + 550m / - 800m
Walking time: about 5.5 hours
Day 2
Col de la Croix du Bonhomme – Vallée des Glaciers.
Through the secret paths of shepherds and guides we arrive at a mineral landscape with gorges and tumultuous mountain streams. Further on, the green mountain meadows and the snow-capped peaks of the Mont Blanc massif contrast. The herd bells guide us to the hut. Dinner and overnight stay in an authentic private hut with about twenty places.
Elevation: +820m/D-740m
Walking time: 6 hours
Day 3 Col de la Seigne – Vallon de la Lée Blanche – Val Veny.
Transfer in the morning, then a climb to the Col de la Seigne (2516 m), easy descent from the Lée Blanche valley to Combal Lake (1970 m). From there, a narrow mountain road and then a forest path lead us to the Monte Bianco mountain hut. The Col de la Seigne marks the border with Italy. Further on, the impressive south side of Mont Blanc gradually appears, dominating Val Veny and its soft green larch forests. The terrace of the hut where we spend the night offers a beautiful view of the nearby Aiguille Noire de Peuterey and the Brenva Glacier (eastern slope of Mont Blanc). Dinner and overnight stay in Val Veny.
Elevation: +700m/D-850m
Walking time: 7 hours
Day 4
Entrèves – Mont de la Saxe – Pré de Bar.
Via the small path that leads to the valley, we go to the town of Courmayeur to do some shopping and taste a famous Italian ice cream. The rest of the day we continue the beautiful path of the Italian Val Ferret, which offers a beautiful panorama and extends from the top of Mont Blanc to the Grandes Jorasses. For us, everything consists of rocks, snow-capped peaks over 4,000 meters above sea level and glittering glaciers. The hut is located opposite the Pré de Bar glacier, the end of which reaches the bottom of the valley. Dinner and overnight stay in the Italian Val Ferret.
Elevation: + 700m / D- 550m
