The day before

Appointment at 6.30 pm at the guides' office where you will meet your guide for the briefing for the ascent of Pointe Percée.

Day 1
Pointe percée ascent

Departure from St-Gervais in the early morning to reach the Col des Anes, above Grand Bornand. After 1h30 of walking we pass by the mountain hut of Gramusset, and then 1h later we arrive at the beginning of the ridge. We continue in a roped party, on the ridge, generally easy but sometimes it is necessary to use your hands. At the end, we climb a steeper one rock, important passage of this climb, and we find the hikers at the top of Pointe Percée. We take the normal route to go back down on rocky terrain that will help to improve your technique. Above the mountain hut we come back to the path takes us back to the car in less than an hour.

The guides could be led to change the program depending on the weather conditions, the mountains and the level of the participants.

Price of the group formula:
€265 / person (departure guaranteed from 3 participants)

Private sessions:
1 participant: €515 per person
2 participants: €265 per person
3 participants: €350 per person

Requirements

A good physical preparation is necessary for this climb, it is aimed at sporty people who have already had mountain climbing and / or climbing experience.

We will evolve on a high mountain route, you must be aware of the dangers related to this activity (crevasses, seracs, stone fall, avalanches, sometimes difficult climate).
We are at your disposal to answer your questions.

Guiding

2 people per guide maximum.
Guaranteed departure in group sessions from 2 subscriptions.
You will be supervised by a mountain guide or a mountain guide in training.

Insurance

To be covered by an insurance «assistance-repatriation» is mandatory to participate in our stays. If you do not have «assistance-repatriation» insurance, we can offer you one at the price of €5 per day. We also offer optional «cancellation» insurance at the price of €12 per day. This insurance does not take into account the sporting character of our stays. More information in the cancellation and assistance repatriation insurance booklets.

Rendezvous

Appointment at 6.30 pm at the Saint-Gervais guides' office (in the tourist office of the village) where you will meet your guide. If you cannot be present, the briefing can be done by phone. More details about how to travel by public transportation can be found on our "contact" page.

Clothing

  • Hat and headscarf or buff®
  • Thermal underwear, long and short sleeves No cotton
  • Fleece jacket
  • Gore-Tex® jacket or similar (an insulated ski jacket is not suitable)
  • Technical hiking trousers
  • Warm socks

 

Essential equipment:

  • Glacier sunglasses (cat. 4)
  • Cap
  • Thermos flask or bottle (1L minimum)
  • Sunscreen for body, face and lips
  • Energy bars or dried fruits
  • Identity papers, insurance papers, health insurance card
