Detailed program for arête des Cosmiques
The day before Appointment at 6.30 pm at the guides' office where you will meet your guide.
Day 1 Cosmiques ridge
Departure in the early morning from St-Gervais to reach Chamonix (about 30 minutes by car, time, and place to be agreed the day before with the guide). From there, we take the Aiguille du Midi cable car (3,842 m). Descent along the ridge, and a short glacier walk to the start (3600 m). Mixed climb with snow and rock sections, one or two abseils, a little vertiginous. The return journey is in the early afternoon by cable car.
The guides could be led to change the program depending on the weather conditions, the mountains and the level of the participants.

Group sessions: every Saturday depending on the conditions and the Aiguille du Midi cable car.

The Cosmiques ridge traverse requires a good physical preparation; it is intended for sporty people. Endurance sports such as cycling, running or long walks are an ideal preparation.
You will evolve on an unmarked mountain route, you must be aware of the dangers associated with this activity (glacier crevasses, serac falls, rock falls, avalanches, very low temperatures).
We are at your disposal to answer your questions.
2 people per guide maximum.
Guaranteed departure in group sessions from 2 subscriptions.
You will be supervised by a mountain guide or a mountain guide in training.
Being covered by repatriation insurance is mandatory to participate in our activities: it must cover you in the high mountains for helicopter search and rescue.
If you do not have repatriation insurance, we can offer it at a cost of €5/day. We also offer optional cancellation insurance at a rate of €12/day. This insurance does not take consider the sporting nature of our activities and only covers people domiciled in Western Europe (details of the countries are in the brochure).
Appointment at 6.30 pm at the Saint-Gervais guides' office (in the tourist office of the village) where you will meet your guide. If you cannot be present, the briefing can be done by phone. More details about how to travel by public transportation can be found on our "contact" page.
