2 HOURS SCOOL OF ICE
Meeting at the Notre Dame de la Gorge site:
- Getting to know the equipment (ice axes, crampons, ice pitons…)
- Getting to know basic techniques and safety rules.
- Climbing!
HALF A DAY RUISSELING
No need to have any experience, Ruisseling is for all levels. Equipped with crampons and supervised by a guide, you go up the frozen stream (waterfalls and flatter sections) in the Natural Reserve of Contamines Montjoie.
WHOLE DAY INITIATION
Meeting at the Notre Dame de la Gorge site
- Getting to know the equipment (ice axes, crampons, ice pitons…)
- Getting to know basic techniques and safety rules.
- Climbing on the Ruisseling site “Rosière” 150 meters long but easy enough for beginners.
WHOLE DAY REFINEMENT
The morning: knowledge check and safety techniques: ice pitons, relay and abalakof, securing first and second climber, lead climbing.
The afternoon: multi-pitch climb (chosen according to the group level).
For example : Sainte Chapelle in Notre Dame de la Gorge or Rosière (supervised independent). Armancette, Cogne in Italy (2h drive), Gruvaz, Nant Fandraz, Trient in Switzerland (1h30 drive).
