The Aiguilles Marbrées traverse is a mixed itinerary at high altitude, starting in Courmayeur at Pointe Helbronner (3462 m). You will evolve in between the big summits of the Mont-Blanc massif, easy to access from the Skyway gondola.

The day before

Appointment at 6.30 pm at the guides' office for the briefing: the guide will tell you the departure time for the next day.

Day 1
Aiguilles Marbrées traverse

Departure early in the morning from St-Gervais to Courmayeur (Italy, 40 minutes by car). From there, we take the gondola to Pointe Helbronner (3535m). This allows easy access to the Glacier du Géant, to reache the ridge of Aiguilles Marbrées. Depending on the conditions, this race can be done in back and forth or a tour. We learn the basic techniques of mountaineering smoothly (snow and rock). The setting is great, between the Ridge of Rochefort to the Grandes Jorasses and the Ridge of Peuterey to Mont Blanc! ... The return is by the gondola, in the early afternoon.

The guides could be led to change the program depending on the weather conditions, the mountains and the level of the participants.

2025 Dates

Group sessions: on Tuesday, all year round depending on the conditions and the opening of the ski lifts.
Private sessions: every day all year round depending on the conditions and the opening of the cable car.

Price of the group option:
€350 / person (departure at 2 subscriptions)

Requirements

This climb requires good physical preparation; it is intended for sporty people.
Having crampon or rock climbing experience will help.
Some parts of the crossing are vertiginous: you should therefore not be subject to vertigo.

You will evolve on an unmarked high mountain route, you must be aware of the dangers associated with this activity (crevasses, falling seracs, falling rocks, avalanches, very low temperatures).

Guiding

2 people per guide maximum.
Guaranteed departure in group sessions from 2 subscriptions.
You will be supervised by a UIAGM-certified mountain guide or mountain guide in training.

Insurance

Being covered by repatriation insurance is mandatory to participate in our activities: it must cover you in the high mountains for helicopter search and rescue.

If you do not have repatriation insurance, we can offer it at a cost of €5/day. We also offer optional cancellation insurance at a rate of €12/day. This insurance does not take consider the sporting nature of our activities and only covers people domiciled in Western Europe (details of the countries are in the brochure).

Rendezvous

Appointment at 6.30 pm at the Saint-Gervais guides' office (in the tourist office of the village) where you will meet your guide. If you cannot be present, the briefing can be done by phone. More details about how to travel by public transportation can be found on our "contact" page.
