"At the end of the third day of the course, the decision on whether to attempt the ascent of Mont-Blanc belongs to the guides and them alone."

* It is possible to hire a mountain guide for a private ascent of Mont-Blanc (the final two days) in order to give yourself the best possible chance of success.  This will ensure that you walk at your pace and there will be no risk of having to turn back because of anyone else being unable to go on.  The supplement for this option is 425€.

**  In our guide company, the guides are paid the standard rate of 735€ for the ascent of Mont-Blanc.  In most other guide companies and agencies, the guides are paid a tariff based on two standard days (560€). The main advantage of a private ascent, in the case of bad weather, is the postponement of your ascent by a few weeks to another date.  We will propose other dates at no extra cost (or even to the following year with only the minimal annual increase in the price).  This is not offered elsewhere: you will be offered an alternative two day course instead.
